Cognitive Dissonance

I'm seeing a couple confusing messages from those that are gung-ho on the US excursion in Iraq. One message is that things are going great in Iraq and that all the claims that there might be a civil war are grossly overblown, things are generally getting better and life is great for the average Iraqi. The other is that the Christian Peace Teams are crazy idiots for trying operate in the super-dangerous realm outside of the fortified Green Zone. So to update, I guess everything in Iraq is "fine" except for the intense danger of roaming gangs of professional kidnappers. I suppose that Iraqis are supposed to accept this as one of the prices of freedom...
